AURIS AURORANS (2018/Berlin)

These graffiti sculptures are part of my research into monuments of horror. They are virtual mushrooms that grow in symbiosis with monuments that reflect on the wrongly forgotten and falsely remembered. They are a pathology of sympathy in monuments of horror; one that demonstrates governments’ failure to inhibit nationalism, racism, and sexism. They are a future of a horrific past that intentionally looks away from its means of production.
